The 2017 AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan), kicked off August 25 at the Tri-State Fairgrounds in Amarillo. Dr. Glenn Blodgett, resident veterinarian and manager of the Four Sixes Ranch horse division, has been named the 2017 National Golden Spur Award winner, the most prestigious honor given by the ranching and livestock industries in recognition of accomplishments by an individual. Students in the first Master of Equine Industry Management Cohort earned their diplomas this past weekend after successfully completing all degree requirements. Congratulations, Ladies!


WACO, Texas — The No. 5 Texas A&M Equestrian team won the National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship Saturday night, defeating the Georgia Bulldogs, 11-5, at the Extraco Events Center. Heird continues tenure on AQHA Executive Committee

Though AQHA operates primarily upon the decisions of its members through the board of directors, the five-person executive committee is responsible for implementing these important decisions and governing AQHA between the annual meetings of the membership and the board.
