Q: Is the complex open to the public?
A: Reservations are available to the public. The Equine Complex is not open for self-guided tours and unscheduled public use, due to NCAA rules and TAMU regulations. However, we invite everyone with an interest in the complex to call us at (979) 458-9166.
Q: Is the Dale Watts ’71 Cross Country Course open to the public?
A: Due to NCAA and TAMU regulations, as well as safety concerns, the Dale Watts ’71 Cross Country Course is only available to the Texas A&M University Track and Cross – Country teams and to those that have a confirmed reservation request form from the event coordinator. No dogs or pets (other than service animals) are allowed on the Watts Cross Country Course.
Q: Do I need a parking permit to park at the complex?
A: Yes, the parking lots at the complex are monitored by Transportation Services. Any valid Texas A&M University parking permit will allow you to park at the complex. If you do not have a parking permit, prepaid temporary parking permits are available from Transportation Services. More information regarding visitor parking can be found on the Transportation Services website.
Q: Are dogs allowed at the complex?
A: Due to biosecurity measures, all pets, including dogs are not allowed at the Thomas G. Hildebrand, DVM ’56 Equine Complex, nor are they allowed at the Dale Watts ’71 Cross Country Course. Please make alternate arrangements for your pets before visiting the complex.
Q: Can I board my horse at the Hildebrand Equine Complex?
A: The Hildebrand Equine Complex is not a public horse boarding facility. All horses at the complex are property of the Texas A&M University NCAA Equestrian Team.
Q: I am interested in reserving an RV spot in the Equine Complex’s parking lot. Who do I contact?
A: Please contact TAMU Transportation at (979) 862-7943. Pets are allowed in the RV area, but they are not allowed on the grounds of the Equine Complex. If you have any questions regarding the Equine Complex, please contact us at (979) 458-9166.
Q: How do I find more information on future phases of equine facility construction at Texas A&M University?

Q: Can I ride my bicycle through the complex?
A: This complex is a closed facility and bicycles are only allowed up to the bicycle racks at the front of the complex.
Q: What do I need to do if I am interested in renting an event space at the complex?
A: If you are interested in renting a space for an event, please email hildebrandec@ag.tamu.edu or call (979) 845-6098.
Q: What is the pricing of one of your event spaces if we are university affiliated or private?
A: Pricing differs for University groups and Private groups. Please contact us at hildebrandec@ag.tamu.edu or at (979) 845-6098, and we can send you the rental information.
Q: When will my event be put into the Hildebrand Event Calendar?
A: Please refer to page 1 of the rental packet.
Q: Can I have my wedding reception at the Equine Complex?
A: Yes! Please contact us at hildebrandec@ag.tamu.edu or call (979) 845-6098.
Q: What do you mean by private event?
A: A private event is any event that is hosted and paid for by a non-TAMU billing account.
Q: Can I have an event outside of your normal business hours, M-F 8am-5pm?
A: Events may be scheduled on nights and weekends, depending on space available and staffing. Please contact us at (979) 458-9166.
Q: Is there an extra charge for having an event during evening hours or a weekend?
A: Yes, there is a Special Opening Fee. Please refer to the rental information packet, or contact us at hildebrandec@ag.tamu.edu or at (979) 845-6098.
Q: Can I put Christmas lights up in the event space that I am renting at the complex?
A: Yes, but there are some limitations. Please contact us at (979) 845-6098 for more details.
Q: Can I take the complex’s decor/pictures off the wall and put up my own for an event?
A: The pictures and decor at the Equine Complex are part of the facility and may not be moved, taken down, or otherwise altered. Please refer to our “General Policies” listed in the rental information packet.
Q: I lost something at the complex. Is there a Lost & Found there?
A: Yes. Please come during our normal business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm) and ask to see the Lost & Found.
Q: Does the complex have a vending machine?
A: Unfortunately, the complex does not have a vending machine.
Q: May I smoke outside during our event?
A: TAMU is a smoke-free campus. In accordance with that policy, smoking and smokeless products are prohibited in, or on the grounds of, the Equine Complex.
Q: Does the Equine Complex offer services other than renting spaces?
A: The Hildebrand Equine Complex is home to the Equine Initiative and the NCAA Equestrian Team, as well as the Event Staff.
Q: Do I need a ticket to attend a TAMU Equestrian meet?
