Collaboration across Texas A&M
These stakeholders collaborate across several institutions of The Texas A&M University System, including the Department of Animal Science, AgriLife Extension, The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, 12th Man Athletics and the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.

Department of Animal Science
This department in the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences has achieved national and international prominence as one of the largest and most complex departments of animal science in the nation. The department is a leader in the discovery and application of science-based knowledge of animals and animal products.

Department of Large Animal & Clinical Sciences
This department in the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) teaches the next generation of veterinarians and researchers, explores answers to veterinary medical problems, and provides optimal care for your animals.

Texas Horse – AgriLife Extension
Through educational programs and workshops, extension horse specialists provide research-based management practices related to nutrition, breeding, management, care and use. Information developed by the extension equine group is available to individual horse owners, goods and service providers, and industry professionals.

Veterinary Science Certificate Program
The Veterinary Science Certificate Program (VSCP) aims to assist students interested in veterinary science careers. VSCP participants learn the skills necessary to become a veterinary assistant (VA). Graduates of the program earn the VA title and classification and are eligible for certification through a third-party organization by examination.

Texas A&M Ranch Horse Team
The Ranch Horse Team is dedicated to promoting Texas A&M University and the equine industry through collegiate competitions in ranch and stock horse shows throughout the United States.

Texas A&M Horse Judging Team
The Horse Judging Team develops students’ abilities to evaluate performance horses in an intercollegiate competitive setting and allows them to represent Texas A&M on the national stage.

Texas Aggie Rodeo Team
The Texas Aggie Rodeo team exists to ensure that our student athletes have the tools they need to excel both in the classroom and in the rodeo arena to foster a culture of excellence that reflects the values of Texas A&M.

Texas A&M Equestrian Team
The Texas A&M Aggies equestrian team represents Texas A&M University at the NCAA level and competes in the NCEA (National Collegiate Equestrian Association). The Aggies are 12-time national champions and compete in home meets at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.

Parsons Mounted Cavalry
The Parsons Mounted Cavalry is the cavalry unit of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets which serves as the only mounted ROTC cavalry unit in the country.

Horseman’s Association
The Horseman’s Association exists to provide a social and educational environment for those students sharing a common interest in the equine industry while promoting leadership through organizational activities and offering networking opportunities.

Aggie IHSA Equestrian Team
IHSA stands for Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. By joining an IHSA team, one can compete in competitions within their region and practice with team members within their showing division.

Texas A&M Polo Team
The Texas A&M Polo club, founded in 1967, assists both men and women in learning and refining the basic skills of polo so that they can compete at a local, regional, and national level.
