With education and outreach support being a portion of our mission here at the Institute for Equine Sciences, we strive to support our Texas A&M AgriLife Extension horse specialists in their equine programming and Texas youth through collaborations with major stock show educational contests.
Equine Extension Resources
Texas A&M University boasts one of the nation’s top equine science programs, offering valuable equine extension resources. With a strong history of teaching, research, outreach, and service, Texas A&M has significantly impacted the equine industry. These resources result from collaboration within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Texas A&M AgriLife Research, AgriLife Extension, and the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.

Texas Major Stock Show Educational Contests
Through our collaborations with the competitive events departments at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo, and San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo we are able to support the youth of Texas through educational contests that award scholarship dollars and prepare them to be the next generation of equine industry leaders.
